About
Phin with a PH and a he/him is a lyricist, composer, and librettist for musical theatre. He's not going to refer to himself as a 'storyteller' because he thinks that's pretentious. Originally from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, he is currently a fourth year Theater major at Oberlin College and is always working on a new project but is also always looking for projects to find him. Phin has experience in directing and choreographing, teaching arts to youth, and arranging and performing a cappella music. He also has puzzle design experience, and has experience working collaboratively and creatively to write and develop ARGs.
Mission (Can one person have a mission? Sure, I guess)
Phin believes that we as audiences can sometimes forget the overlap between art and entertainment. Phin strives to create art that is entertaining and a blast to consume. Additionally, in an artistic world that can tell powerful stories with sadness, Phin wants to create poignance through joy, and to focus on joy not because it creates escapism in his work, but it reminds audiences of how it exists in their every day lives.
Gee, Phin is so very talented and you really want to work with him.
Guys I think it's really funny that this is all in the third person because I, Phin, wrote all of it.

“It's really convenient that I do book, music, and lyrics, because that's already three things and so I don't need to invent a third, vague, word to achieve the rule of three whenever I describe myself."
— Phin
"Phin is literally a godsend."
— YikYak
"...redefined what a play can be."
— The New York Times (on Tony Kushner's Angels in America)
